Windows, Doors and conservatories are manufactured using selected West African Hardwoods (Utile) from renewable sources. The timbers are specially selected for their high quality and fine grain.
The Standard frame heights for all full height side frames styles is 2100mm including cill, this applies to all doors. The standard dwarf wall height is 610mm, making the side frames 1490mm, including cill. Alternatively wall frames with raised and fielded panels, both internal and external, to floor level are available. The Timber side frame components consist of an outer frame and sash sections of the windows and doors are assembled using twin slot mortice and tenon joints with weatherproof adhesive making an extremely strong connection. Window outer frame section 70mm x 57mm, Window Sash frame 70mm x 70mm, Transome/Mullion section 70mm x 64mm, External cill section 144mm x 58mm.
Selected Red Hardwood roof sections using the complete Aluminium Roof Capping system as standard. All intermediate roof rafters come premoulded as standard with our own ovolo rafter moulding and all roof rafters come pre-grooved ready to accept the rafter gaskets. We offer both an aluminium Fleur de lys cresting and finial post, and all roof cappings, crestings and finial post come pre-finish in two standard colours of white and brown. All roofs can be made to any shape or size , and with a minimum roof pitch for Lean-to conservatories of 10 degrees, and a minimum pitch for Edwardians, Victorians and Georgian conservatories of 15 degrees.
A dry self-draining glazing system is used. The window frames are rebated to accept double glazed units of 24mm. This gives the optimum combination of noise insulation and heat retention. We do not supply the glass however it is recommended that double glazed units be specified with a bronze coloured spacer.
All rebates for opening sashes doors and entrance frames are fitted with high-performance weather-seals. The seals are secured into a groove in the frame and sash rebates and are unaffected by paint or stains. Supplied in black finish as standard.
Saracen High Security friction hinges are fitted to all opening sashes. These hinges are produced from stainless steel to provide greater resistance to deformation when the window is under attack. When the sash is open they provide easy access to the outer surfaces of the glass allowing easy cleaning from the inside of the building. The hinges allow variable opening of the sash to give complete control of ventilation.
The Saracen High Security Shoot Bolt locking system is fitted to all opening sashes. This incorporates a central Dead latch and adjustable Shoot Bolts operated by the turn of a handle. Night vent position attainable. When fitted in conjunction with the Saracen High Security friction stay the combined locking and strength properties of the 2 products offer an almost impregnable line of defence. Handles are Gold effect finish s standard, with 7 colours available.
Opening sashes can be either Top hung or Side hung on stainless steel friction hinges.

Factory applied Sikkens Cetol WP 560 Primer and Cetol WF 755 Topcoat. Translucent waterborne and spray applied. As standard the frames are supplied primed the topcoat is an option.
Factory applied Sadolin WOP016 Primer and Sikkens Rubol WF 370 Topcoat. High build waterborne and spray applied. As standard the frames are supplied primed only.
Sikkens waterborne topcoats are manufactured using alkyd and acrylic binding agents. The alkyd content ensures good lasting adhesion while the acrylic content ensures excellent durability and lasting elasticity. The timber can be easily kept clean by regularly washing down with warm water and soft cloth. Using one or two coats of the original finish at intervals of 3 years or more can restore weathered surfaces.
Plastic coated aluminium Tie bars are included wherever required for polycarbonate and glass roofs. For larger conservatory roofs we do offer structural steel Tie bars and any additional structural steel work that may be required.
We offer Thermally broken Aluminium roof vents complete with a brass opener, operated with a cranked winding handle. The aluminium Roof vents are available in brown or white powder-coated finish as standard.
Marley classic guttering is supplied as standard with a circular downpipe and accessories, in either brown, white or black. Other styles of guttering can be supplied upon request as an extra. Where box gutters are required we use Marshall Tufflex guttering with a circular downpipe and accessories, in either brown, white or black.
Box Gutters are 225mm wide nominally, and are constructed from a extruded aluminium section and are lined and insulated internally.
If required, all the roof accessories, guttering and roof vents can be coloured to the nearest RAL colour as the paint finish on the conservatory for an additional charge.
Having placed your order with Country Hardwood Conservatories (Manufacturing) Ltd indicating your preferred delivery time and made a deposit payment, then all relevant details we can process your order.
Within seven days of your order, you will receive and Order Production Package, containing full details of your order, including specifications, design details, technical and full base layout plans. All these details must be checked thoroughly, signed and one returned to us within the next seven days of receipt. Alterations to the Order Production Package can be still made at this stage, these alterations must be written on the Package and clearly signed and dated. Any alterations made to the ordering after the order package has been returned will incur a small administration charge.
PLEASE NOTE that we will not proceed with the manufacture of your order until we have received a signed Order Production Package. This package must be returned with the seven days so that the provisional date given can be kept.
All alterations that may be needed to be made to the Order Production Package must be made in writing on your company letterhead. At no stage will we accept verbal alterations. Upon receipt and depending upon the nature of these alterations required, the provisional delivery may be changed.
A provisional delivery date will be provided to yourselves with the Order Production Package. If this date is not convenient, or you require a specific delivery date, please contact us as soon as you receive the Order Production package, so that we can hopefully rearrange the delivery to a more suitable date.
A week before delivery is due, you will receive a fax agreeing the final the delivery date and requesting a delivery address. Deliveries can be made either to yourselves or to your customer’s address. All our delivery vehicles are unmarked we show no details of Country Hardwood Conservatories (Manufacturing) Ltd.
Our standard payment terms are 15% of contract value as deposit with order, Please note that we will not process your order until this have been received. Final 85% balance due upon delivery, payment upon delivery is strictly by bankers draft (available over the counter form your bank), by cash, by building society cheque, or by cheque received by Country Hardwood Conservatories (Manufacturing) Ltd at least 7 Days prior to delivery. Any delayment with payment will result in your delivery date been changed.
